Pets come with powerful mental and physical health benefits for humans. Dogs especially can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Dogs can also take away loneliness, encourage exercise, and improve cardiovascular health. Having a dog for your children can help them grow up to feel more secure and the kids will be more active.
I have two dogs and both of my dogs can understand my tone of voice and the words that I say to them. Dogs are able to understand the use of words that we use, and they're good at interpreting our tone in our voice, and body language. Dogs will try to understand your emotional state and try to understand how we are feeling. My dogs will both try to comfort me when I cry because they can sense me being upset. And when my mom was in the hospital and came back, they would not leave her side until she was better because they knew something was wrong.
The American Heart Association found that having dogs helped with reduced risk for heart disease and greater longevity. Studies also have found that humans who have borderline hypertension adopted dogs from a shelter and their blood pressure declined greatly within five months of having that dog. Another study also found that adults over the age of 65 make 30% less trips to the doctors than those who do not have a pet.
Dogs have proven to help improve healthy lifestyle changes for humans. Some health benefits include increasing exercise, providing companionship, reducing anxiety, adding a routine to your day, and proving a stress relief. Studies have shown that dog owners are more likely to meet their daily exercise requirements and it will keep both you and your pet healthy.

Love love love this article! I am a dog person and they are so smart. They definitely do understand us and our tones. The best part of having a dog for me is how they understand how you are feeling without communicating. I love that it is proven that having a dog is good for your health. I believe it! They are best friends and family that you never fight with! Good Post!
ReplyDeleteI love this post! I had no idea that dogs had such a great health benefit to people. I am a dog lover and I own 4 dogs (crazy right? They're all bad lol). They understand more than people think they do, especially when it comes to tone of voice. They understand how you feel without even saying much, and i absolutely love that about dogs. I will always be a dog lover!
ReplyDeleteI love animals and I'm glad that is has been proven that dogs are beneficial to our health. I had a cat for 15 years and whenever he passed away it just felt weird in my house and when we got another one it just made me feel so much better and it is definitely a comfort thing to have cats and dogs, if you like them!
ReplyDeleteYess . I've always believed that dogs fully understand humans more than any other kind of animals. I like how you have proved that dogs are beneficial to our health.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing have animals, especially dogs have such an impact on ones life. I was never a fan of animals but I being around my sister dog, I understand the benefits of having a dog. Your post was awesome and many people should look into getting a dog or just visiting dog shelters.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog so much because i can relate. My dog is really smart. I love having a pet because its like having another family member sometimes he makes me mad but i cannot stay mad at him. When i cry my dog comes and cuddes up right next to me. When i sleep he cuddles with me. I love having a pet, they are really a joy to have and very intelligent.
ReplyDeleteI relate to your blog so much!! My dog is so intelligent and it blows my mind! I really do not understand how they can be so smart. My dog always knows when I am in a bad mood!
ReplyDeleteAwwww this makes me miss my dog! She lives with my parents right now while I am working full time and going to school. She needs a lot of attention and gets moody if she is left alone to long. Every time I come home to my parents she attacks me with kisses. She also understands when I am not feeling good and doesn't leave my side. I believe dogs make great companions and this was a great post!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a feel good post! I miss having a dog in my house so much. Pets generally make people happier and more stress free and I think that is important. Good post
ReplyDeleteI love this post! Animals are great to relieve stress. When I come home from a busy day of school and a long day of work, I love being able to come home to my kitten and give him all of my attention. Whenever I was sick when I was little, my cats would love on me and make me feel a little less stressed out. Again, like I mentioned before, animals are wonderful.
